Following a report that aerospace giant Airbus SE is in talks to acquire a minority stake in the company’s fledgling cybersecurity division, shares of the French information technology firm Atos SE increased.
The report, which cited unnamed sources conversant in the discussions, came from Les Echos via Reuters. Although Airbus declined to comment on the news, it did tell Reuters that it regularly holds private meetings with its business associates, clients, and suppliers.

Atos, on the other hand, chose not to respond but disclosed in December that it had already started “exploratory discussions with potential future minority shareholders in the scope of activities grouped under the name of Evidian.”
