EnCharge AI Inc. has announced a USD 21.7 million Series A funding round to support the creation of a semiconductor hardware and software stack that, according to the company, can perform 15 times better than its rivals in low-power settings.
Chief Executive Naveen Verma said that the processor is essentially a highly programmable application-specific integrated circuit that uses a novel method of memory management to enable high performance. Charge-based memory, which differs from conventional memory design in that it reads data from the electrical current on a memory plane instead of from individual bit cells, is used by the processor the company is developing.
