A judge in the Texas court hearing a state antitrust lawsuit against Google refused the request for the case to move to California – where the tech giant is fighting similar lawsuits.
The company had asked for the court to be moved for certain reasons, as its headquarters is in the California and many witnesses could have been called. Judge Sean Jordan from the District Court has denied the proposal stating the reasons as invalid. He mentioned, “Google has failed to meet its burden to establish that the Northern District of California is a clearly more convenient venue for the … litigation than the Eastern District of Texas.”
However, Google didn’t comment on this matter yet.
