Podcast interview with Vincent Lomba, Chief Technical Security Officer at Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise.
Digital-age networking, communications, and cloud solutions need built-in security features and also have to ensure limited environmental impact. There is also a need for modern enterprises to have real-time connectivity to deliver the real meaning of digitization. This makes the playing field for threats even more prominent and more vulnerable. How do organizations protect themselves from sophisticated threats in this growth phase? There have to be highly robust strategies that enterprises should implement to ensure airtight security to their Cloud, Communication & Collaboration, and IP telephony solutions, especially with VOIP telephony frauds on the rise. Under these circumstances, enterprises must be very creative and disciplined to ensure they can create better alignment between their business goals, processes, and security requirements. It will need future-ready strategies and innovations, to say the least. As the cybercrime-as-a-service industry becomes more sophisticated, businesses need to, more than anything, ingrain resilience in their business operations and embed smart tools and strategies in their security policies to fight fraud and threats.
