Supermicro presents plug and play cloud infrastructure in racks with free remote access testing and validation-01

Super Micro Computer, Inc. (SMCI) , a global leader in enterprise computing, storage, networking solutions and green computing technology, announced a programFree remote access test and validation: the “JumpStart” program for the Supermicro Rack Plug and Play Cloud Infrastructure solution. Supermicro Rack Plug and Play Cloud Infrastructure solution eliminates the burden of designing and deploying a custom in-house cloud solution by using a pre-configured and pre-validated global rack-level configuration with servers, software, storage, networking, and services needed for a world-class cloud infrastructure. With the Supermicro JumpStart program, users can remotely test and validate their workloads on the cloud solution prior to deployment.

As more customers feel the burden of rising hosted cloud costs, many are looking to repatriate cloud workloads to less expensive in-house infrastructure. However, they want to avoid having to build a customized solution in-house. Supermicro, in collaboration with RedHat and Intel, has introduced a turnkey solution that will allow customers to set up a scalable cloud infrastructure in days instead of weeks or months. The basic configuration can be purchased directly or leased for approximately $ 3,000 per month 1 . The flat-cost model eliminates unplanned user fees – the more you use it, the more you save.

“The Supermicro Rack Plug and Play Cloud Infrastructure program helps improve costs and performance for today’s business,” said Charles Liang, CEO of Supermicro. “Fully assembled and validated rack systems, including hardware and software, are available, allowing rapid deployment and faster bringing systems online. This program can save customers time and design effort. Our latest JumpStart initiative leverages Intel processors, Intel Optane persistent memory, All-Flash NVMe storage, and 100GbE networking for world-class performance. With the RedHat OpenShift container platform and free JumpStart remote access validation and testing setup, customers can immediately begin the site’s transition to the cloud, efficiently and scalable. ”

The Supermicro JumpStart configuration is an entry-level option in the comprehensive Supermicro Rack Plug and Play Cloud Infrastructure solution portfolio that includes additional performance, scalability, high capacity and extreme designs. These turnkey solutions include rack, cabling, power and cooling infrastructure to simplify deployment of the solution at scale. This solution can support hundreds of instances and containers with a total cost of ownership that can be up to 70% * better than hosted cloud offerings.

“Red Hat OpenShift is the industry-leading Kubernetes platform and provides any infrastructure with greater consistency to better build, deploy and manage applications at scale,” said Joe Fernandes, vice president and general manager, Red Hat, supporting central cloud-based platforms. “By combining the power of OpenShift with Intel processors and Supermicro’s cloud infrastructure solution, businesses can reduce costs and not just support immediate needs. in terms of workload, but also better meet future growth needs on more sophisticated systems. We are pleased to work with Supermicro and Intel to help customers support open hybrid cloud. ”

“Intel is working with Supermicro to deliver a fully configured, ready-to-use cluster of systems with the latest Intel Xeon processors to test innovative software solutions,” said Rose Schooler, group vice president, responsible for global data center sales at Intel. “Our Intel Xeon Scalable 3 th generation with integrated IA accelerators allow to develop a new class of applications with outstanding performance. ”

With the free Supermicro JumpStart remote access program, Supermicro customers can immediately begin validating and comparing their applications, enabling hands-on experience with the solution. Access to the program is quick and easy. Through Supermicro’s JumpStart portal, interested parties can register and then access the solution through a secure portal.
