Super Micro Computer, Inc. (SMCI) , a global leader in enterprise computing, storage, networking solutions and green IT technology, is announcing an expanded portfolio of systems with single processor based on the new scalable Intel Xeon E-2300 and 3 to generation. These new systems  support diverse applications in growing vertical markets. As a result, customers can optimize the exact configuration needed for their applications ranging from entry-level servers to the intelligent edge to data center-class systems.

With Intel Xeon E-2300 processors, MicroBlade® and MicroCloud support applications that require a high-density computing infrastructure, such as content streaming, EDA, interactive gaming, and bare metal cloud instances. Businesses can also benefit from the rack-mounted systems of this new processor family, with increased input/output and security features that make these systems ideal for equipment and security applications.

The new systems with a single socket scalable based on Intel Xeon processor 3 to generate, as the SuperBlade 6U, are ideal for high density applications with multiple nodes. Supermicro’s SuperServer E403 wall-mounted edge server for telecommunications environments features the highest numbers of cores, highest memory capacity, and fastest I/O needed to deliver high performance at optimized prices.

“Our multi-node, high-volume rack-mounted systems solutions enable a new class of computing for enterprises and cloud providers, enabling a new generation of applications that optimize telecom and business performance,” said Charles Liang , President and CEO from Supermicro. “We are offering an expanded portfolio of single-processor application-optimized systems that will deliver exactly the best performance and efficiency for targeted workloads, including telecommunications, edge, storage, security, AI inference, and bare metal provisioning.”

Supermicro’s new single-socket systems offer the performance and capabilities to power an expanded set of workloads in the data center and bring data center-class performance to the edge. These new systems include PCI-E 4.0 I/O, which eliminates bottlenecks and speeds up applications compared to systems with older generations of processors. They now also include support for Intel’s SGX security features. The new single-socket systems are available in a variety of form factors, including multi-node servers, rack-mount servers and workstations.

The scalable systems based on Intel Xeon processor 3 to generate support up to 16 port DIMM, allowing up to 4 or 6 DRAM TB TB + persistent memory DRAM Intel Optane (PMEM). This memory capacity for single-socket systems is unprecedented. Intel Xeon processor E-2300 based systems deliver critical small business server performance with up to 8 cores and 128GB of DDR4 memory at 95 Watts TDP.

Among the Supermicro servers that are optimized for applications with single socket incorporating the Intel Xeon processors scalable from 3 to generation are:
