LambdaTest, the leading cloud platform for continuous quality testing, has announced a USD 250,000 grant for open source developers developing testing frameworks and tools. With this grant, LambdaTest aims to support deep innovation that will push boundaries for the entire testing and quality assurance community.
“We are pleased to announce the LambdaTest open source grant of USD 250,000. This is one of many important initiatives we want to undertake to support innovation in the testing space. The software industry is all about solving problems together and, then share them with the world,” said Maneesh Sharma, LambdaTest COO. “At LambdaTest, we truly believe that there is a lot of innovation that our open source and testing community can drive. With the grant, we hope to spark discussions, provide feedback, and share learnings to advance our testing community. We are already running Selenium, Playwright certifications and Appium to empower the community. We hope that a grant like this will be instrumental in creating revolutionary test packages that will solve current and future problems.”

Open source developers who are working on testing frameworks and tools projects and who have made significant contributions or who are holders of at least one open source testing project can apply for the grant. They should also have a GitHub profile with details of their experience and contributions to open source projects and the community. As part of the grant application, applicants must describe how the grant will help their project or community.
LambdaTest has also created a GitHub Collection of open source testing frameworks and tools for the community to consult. The company also helps open source projects with their testing needs by offering free product licenses, including for the browser and mobile application testing platform and HyperExecute, an intelligent, IP-driven test execution platform.
