Microsoft Corp.’s GitHub business has released an update to its GitHub Enterprise Server platform that includes a number of new capabilities aimed at making software development projects more efficient.
GitHub, a service for hosting open-source software, was acquired by Microsoft in 2018. The Microsoft division makes money by selling commercial development tools to businesses. GitHub Enterprise Server, a version of the GitHub platform that enterprises can use to host their internal software projects, is one of its flagship offerings.
More than 60 changes are included in GitHub Enterprise Server 3.5, which was released today. Many of the most major changes are aimed at assisting developers in ensuring that their code is free of flaws.
