Fauna, the distributed document-relational database delivered as a cloud API, is newly available in AWS Marketplace, a digital catalog with thousands of listings from independent software vendors that make it easy to find, test, buy, and deploy software that runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS customers can now directly procure Fauna in AWS Marketplace, apply their contracted spend toward billing, and seamlessly integrate Fauna into their applications.
The AWS Marketplace listing increases Fauna’s accessibility to some of the world’s largest enterprises looking for consistency, flexibility, and scalability in their database. Fauna, designed and delivered as an API and distributed by default, leverages AWS serverless solutions and event-driven architectures built with AWS Lambda, Amazon EventBridge, AWS Step Functions, and other AWS services. Fauna’s serverless compute and data platform supports use cases that require consistency and flexibility as applications scale.
“As we continue to build new features and functionalities within the Fauna database, we’re also investing to build new channels to make adoption as simple as possible,” said Hassen Karaa, VP of Product at Fauna. “Making Fauna available in AWS Marketplace is a key step forward for us to help both enterprise and startup organizations build modern applications designed to scale globally. By expanding our relationship with AWS, we’re broadening our reach to better serve organizations of all sizes across industries.”

Fauna was also accepted into the AWS ISV Accelerate Program, a co-sell program for organizations that provide software solutions that run on or integrate with AWS. The program promotes Fauna among AWS field sellers globally. Alongside its availability in AWS Marketplace, Fauna is now available as a special offer on AWS Activate, a global program for startups which provides emerging organizations with tools, discounts, resources, and expert support.
This expansion of Fauna’s relationship with AWS builds on Fauna’s recent momentum, which includes the releases of Virtual Private Fauna and Intelligent Routing in November 2022, the general availability of Fauna logs in February, and a partnership with Airbyte earlier this month.
