Digimarc Corporation (NASDAQ: DMRC ), the inventor of Digimarc watermarks working on the next generation of digital identification and recognition, announced today that Ravi Kumar , a world-renowned thought leader and managing director, was elected to the board with effect from June 28, 2021.
His appointment complements the Board of Directors’ current expertise and extends it, among other things, in the areas of the international digital revolution in companies, building ecosystems through global alliances and partnerships, as well as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and related data and analysis. He will be at Digimarc’s side in helping companies transform digitally so they can deliver more value to their customers.
Kumar is President of Infosys , a leading global IT consultancy and services company, and heads Global Services across all industry segments. He heads the areas of digital transformation, consulting, traditional technology and engineering services as well as the service lines for data and analysis, cloud and infrastructure and enterprise package applications.
He is also the Chairman of the Board of Infosys Business Process Management (BPM). Kumar also oversees Infosys Public Services and the Infosys Consulting subsidiary. He is CEO of the digital companies acquired by Infosys, Kaleidoscope, Guidevision, Wongdoody and Simplus. He also leads Infosys’ businesses in Latin America, Japan andChina .
Kumar is a member of the Board of Governors of the New York Academy of Sciences and the board of AdvanceCT, Connecticut’s forum for economic development.
