Creative Workspace Huckletree announces new Financial Director to drive growth plans

Creative workspace and business accelerator Huckletree has announced Yvonne Eruteya as its new Financial Director to focus on future growth plans, that will include new workspace products and further expansion across the UK and Ireland.

Yvonne brings a wealth of industry experience to Huckletree, formerly leading finance teams at the likes of Royal Mail Property and industry peers The Office Group and Scale Space, with an expertise in data analysis. She also brings experience from a previous role as CFO of Private Equity Blenheim Chalcot.

Yvonne is one of several new hires joining the workspace group in 2021, with new team members coming from property, travel, management consulting and hospitality sectors.

The additions to the executive team follows a significant year for Huckletree, which was their most successful non-expansion year, despite the pandemic proving to be a global working from home experiment. Last year alone, 120 new companies joined since the start of the first lockdown and the team made 450 introductions to their members leading to new investments.

Yvonne Eruteya commented:

“After the year we’ve endured, the time is now for smart thinking, speed and innovation in the workspace sector, and I believe Huckletree is leading the way with positive disruption and a new way of looking at the challenge. I am looking forward to being part of the journey with Huckletree, who are invested in creating communities to succeed, not just selling desks. There are exciting plans ahead for our core product and future extension products and I’m thrilled to be joining the executive team to bring these plans to life over the next few years. ”

Gabriela Hersham, CEO and Co-founder, Huckletree added:

“We’re thrilled to bring Yvonne into our executive team, bringing top-class industry experience with her which will help us to continue capitalising on a successful period for our business. We’re constantly looking to attract the very best talent who share our values of collaboration, brave innovation and social consciousness, and Yvonne is absolutely spot on for this job.”
