Cloudways, a leading managed cloud hosting provider focused on simplicity and productivity, announces today that it is expanding its executive suite. Paul Haverstock joins Cloudways as Vice President of Engineering and will apply his extensive professional experience in product development and technical leadership to expand the company’s portfolio of cutting-edge cloud solutions for small and medium businesses.
Founded in 2012, Cloudways is an intuitive, one-click managed cloud hosting platform that hosts over 50,000 servers globally. E-commerce stores, design agencies, developers, and bloggers use Cloudways to host their websites on top of the world’s most reliable cloud infrastructure providers, including Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, DigitalOcean, Vultr. The bootstrap-funded platform features a web app management function that easily launches cloud servers for the deployment of WordPress, Magento, and PHP.
To further strengthen Cloudways’ product development team, newly appointed VP of Engineering Paul Haverstock brings decades of experience in leading positions at high-profile companies, such as Microsoft, Philips Lighting, Endurance International Group, Nokia, IBM, Zume, and Lotus. In his various leadership roles, Paul has leveraged his extensive technical knowledge, team management skills, stakeholder focus, analytical insight, and results-driven approach to spearhead the development of cutting-edge solutions for e-commerce, cloud services, and mobile applications.
With Paul Haverstock in its executive team, Cloudways has appointed an engineering veteran with expertise in leading developer teams for big-business clients as well as small and medium businesses. The hire is in line with the company’s expansion of customer focus from sole traders, startups, and small and medium businesses to also include bigger enterprises with more complex web hosting needs. In sync with the Cloudways promise of availability, reliability, security and speed on such a growing scale requires complex engineering solutions, which Paul Haverstock is tasked with delivering in his new role.
“Cloudways is at an exciting and pivotal point,” said Aaqib Gadit, Co-Founder and CEO of Cloudways. “We are adding more and more big clients to our roster, and meeting their cloud hosting needs at our usual high standard is a feat of engineering that requires exceptional technical, business, and management skills. We are confident Paul will lead Cloudways to bigger and better product development that is in tune with our growing customer base.”
“I first learned about Cloudways when a team member recommended the platform for one of the projects I was leading,” said Paul Haverstock, VP of Engineering at Cloudways. “As I was exploring the platform’s key features and unique selling points, I realized that Cloudways is the cloud hosting service I had wanted to build for years. It is a pleasure to join the team at this pivotal moment in the company’s development, and I look forward to us scaling new heights together.”
