IBM has announced the launch of Watson Assistant for Citizens free of charge for at least 90 days. The move comes from the company to help improve wait times for calls being made to government agencies, healthcare organizations, and academic institutions regarding COVID-19. At present, the technology is being used in the US, UK, Czech Republic, Greece, Poland, and Spain.
IBM’s clients can use the feature for free online or by phone. IBM Watson Assistant for Citizens brings together Watson Assistant, NLP capabilities from IBM Research, and enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) search capabilities with Watson Discovery, to understand and respond to common questions about coronavirus.
